Account Manager

Do you want to join a company where you aren’t held back by bureaucracy and red tape, where you can make a difference?  MacGregor Partners is looking for an experienced and savvy Named Account Manager.   Our account managers focus on the customer, developing new business within existing customers while continuing to strengthen the relationships we have already established.  This role is ideal for the individual who is hungry to grow professionally, financially and who can combine industry experience with business development prowess.

What you’ll do:

  • Proactively develop net-new business within existing accounts across MacGregor’s software and service lines of business.  Involve the Delivery organization and leadership team where necessary to close new business.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with decision-makers and become a trusted adviser for the client across all of their supply chain and technology projects.
  • Expand MacGregor’s footprint and penetration within existing client base by understanding their organizational and technological challenges and offering solutions from within the MacGregor suite of products and services
  • Report monthly to the executive leadership team on industry challenges clients face and recommend additional offerings MacGregor can bring to the table to capitalize on industry needs
  • Become the sole point of contact for escalation, additional work, and discussions with our largest and most important customers
  • Conduct and facilitate quarterly business reviews with clients to ensure their satisfaction and our continued importance and value across their organization
  • Interact with the delivery team to develop proposals, statements of work, and SaaS contracts to present to clients
  • Become a subject matter expert on the MacGregor suite of offerings and present the positioning and value statements effectively in conversation and presentations to customer executives
  • Monitor new customer implementations, services work and project statuses in order to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project and to ensure customer satisfaction and quality.
  • Attend industry tradeshows and look to present on industry and technology trends at tradeshows where possible and applicable

What you bring:

  • Experience selling and/or managing complex software and consulting engagements to clients
  • 3+ years of a successful account management, meeting or exceeding quotas
  • 5+ years of overall sales experience meeting or exceeding quotas, or equivalent
  • Ability to build relationships with and navigate customer stakeholders to drive net new sales
  • Deep understanding of technology within supply chain, logistics, and distribution center
  • Experience within supply chain, logistics, and distribution
  • Ability to present challenging concepts to executives visually and verbally
  • Ability to lead and conduct demonstrations of SaaS products
  • Experience with CRM tools, such as Salesforce.com considered a plus
  • Self-starter with a hunter mentality, very accustomed to carrying a quota and sales targets
  • Works well under pressure and able to meet tight customer-driven deadlines
  • Highly organized; ability to collect, track, and analyze large amounts of data
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to travel to customer facilities
  • Bachelor’s degree
