WMS Consultant

Through face-to-face interactions with customers, this consultant position is responsible for WFM/WLM implementations, assisting customers to enhance their operations by identifying and optimizing their preferred work methods, and by developing reports / Tools that enhance customer use of Toolbox, thereby enhancing their operations. As an on-site representative of MacGregor Partners, you will be the face of the company to many of our customers and must portray a positive and professional image of the company through appearance, excitement, engagement and compelling recommendations to customers.

What you’ll do:

  • Assessing client business requirements
  • Configuring JDA (RedPrairie) WMS application to meet customer needs
  • Troubleshooting and triaging application issues as they are reported
  • Writing functional specifications for modification, interface, report, and label requirements
  • Authoring and/or reviewing system and procedural documentation

What you bring:

  • 2+ years of general consulting experience
  • 2+ years of JDA (RedPrairie) WMS experience
  • Basic understanding of supply chain, logistics, and distribution functional concepts
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to individuals and small groups
  • Great attitude and commitment to get the job done
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to travel to customer facilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, Supply Chain Management or related field.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with other JDA solutions such as Warehouse Labor Management (WLM), Integrator, Warehouse Management – Process, Warehouse Management – Dispatcher, EMS, or Track & Trace
  • Experience reading and writing SQL
  • Experience reading MOCA trace files
  • Experience creating legacy RPWriter reports
  • Experience creating Jasper reports
  • Experience creating labels
  • Experience creating and maintaining custom DDAs
  • Experience creating and maintaining custom control files and using mload utility
  • Experience with other supply chain execution systems such as Manhattan Associates, HighJump, and SAP
  • Milwaukee, WI or Raleigh, NC based consultants are preferred


50% travel is required for the position.  Specific amounts will be discussed with the manager.
